"Wayne Weberbauer was born in April of 1951, in Elizabeth New Jersey. He began painting and drawing at an early age. The local wildlife in the surrounding countryside intrigued him as a boy and he nurtured many injured animals back to health. This gave him a unique insight to the behavior of everything from lizards to raccoons. Wayne captured the characteristics of the wildlife surrounding him with such extraordinary talent that he was given a special schedule in school to allow him more time to pursue these skills. Many of the works he completed during this period still adorn the hallways of those schools."  Landscapes were a natural extension to his wildlife paintings.  He is able to depict the animals in their natural habitat."
